CHILDREN, ADOLESCENTS, FAMILIES
David loves working with children and parents. He offers a place for parents to turn when they need help and have questions. He is able to connect with children and teens using humor and a flexible approach. Children quickly feel safe and comfortable, enjoying their time in therapy, and parents feel encouraged.
He engages children and teens using play and evidence-based, researched therapy techniques, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness, Behavioral Modification Therapy, Play Therapy, Family Systems Therapy, and Parent-Child Interaction Therapy. Strategies including goal-setting, time management, and healthy daily habits help adolescents address issues of self-esteem, social and peer pressure, identity and self-worth, mood regulation, behavior changes, and healthy communication skills.
